Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Reviews

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, This is the first 200-megapixel camera used by Samsung in a phone. Like the rest of the models, the Korean mobile company has brought the best portrait mode to this model as well. The video quality of the phone is also quite good. 8K/30p video recording is possible on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Here Completely elaborate discussion of the Samsung Galaxy S23.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Massive Benefits

Matte black glass, aluminum rails, massive specs, quad cameras, a hidden stylus, oh wait, wait, hang on a sec. Let’s start that over. (upbeat techno music) Matte black glass, aluminum rails, massive specs, quad cameras, and a hidden stylus. You get the plan.

Upbeat techno music continues Hey, what’s up, Jhone here, and this is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. So, Thus, the simplest course of action upon its initial release and revelation was to just dismiss it as a minor update, as I mean, look at it. Aesthetically speaking, it’s the same phone.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2

The side radii are squared off more, so it feels a bit better in the hand, sure, much more boxy like the notes of the past. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is not the Victus Plus; instead, it has somewhat larger rings around the cameras, but other than that, the phone is essentially the same in terms of size, industrial design, button placement, ports, and layout.

Upgrade Functions:

But there are two real upgrades to this phone. Remember that I already considered the Galaxy S22 Ultra to be my best large phone of the previous year because of its excellent performance, screen, battery life, and overall build quality. As such, there aren’t many things that I would naturally want to change.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

But, there are two things, and they’re two of arguably the most important things you can change in a phone, the chip that runs it all and the cameras. You may have heard about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It’s been a really good chip in the other phones that it’s been in, with excellent CPU and GPU performance and efficiency which touches battery life.

S23 lineup

Now, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a specially designed version of the chip made for these Samsung phones, powers this phone and the entire S23 family. Hence, if you viewed the most recent video regarding Apple’s decision to reclaim the iPhone, you are already aware of the general benefits of phone component customization and optimization.

But the only thing that we’ve seen that is customized for this chip for Galaxy is a slightly higher max clock speed on the performance core and a slightly higher clock speed on the GPU. That is, precisely 3.36GHz as opposed to 3.2GHz on the performance core and 719MHz as opposed to 680MHz on the GPU. So yeah, it does score slightly better on benchmarks than the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and that’s nice for a little extra headroom for high-performance stuff, It’s not only about future-proofing and light gaming, though.

Battery Life:

Efficiency increases are one of the two primary factors that matter in this situation. So, performance is awesome, but because efficiency is better, these phones get some serious battery life gains that we’ll talk about in a second. In addition, as far as I know from elsewhere, there won’t be an Exynos version of this phone, so goodbye.

All S23 Ultra units come equipped with a Qualcomm processor, allowing users to benefit from the increased efficiency and performance of the Qualcomm variant. Let me tell you something, this phone’s battery life is amazing—it’s been good. So it’s the 5,000 million power cell again shouldn’t be a surprise, but with this huge screen, I guess it kind of is a surprise.

Wireless Charger

I had two days at 120Hz but 1080P, where the only time I charged it was on the wireless charger in my car on the way to and from the studio for the 40 minutes that that drive is. I didn’t charge it overnight or anything like that. For me, two full, busy days with high brightness, and high-intensity use translate into about eight and a half hours of screen time.

YouTube live watching

I’m in bed at 11:00 PM at the end of the second day streaming on YouTube live watching LeBron break Kareem’s record, it’s still got like 10% left, it just won’t die. So combine this excellent battery life with a pretty solid 45-watt charging that can go zero to 100 in an hour, plus wireless charging, and you’ve got yourself a battery monster, it’s super good.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

I don’t think enough people are talking about how much better the battery got. Maybe someone will do one of those crazy long runtime demos versus the past phone, but yeah, it’s really good, probably better than you think. Since you paid $1200 for this phone, which will last forever, you don’t need to switch it to 1080P to save batteries. As soon as you pull it out of the package, just go in and switch it to 1440P. Treat yourself.

Alright, so those are the chips; that’s what makes them possible, but there’s also a new generation of cameras, hardware, and software that’s all better than you might imagine. Since the principles are essentially the same now, this is presumably why it is written off so fast. Everything is essentially the same, including the arrangement, layout, cosmetics, and focal lengths, but the 200-megapixel primary camera now has double the optical image stabilization range of the previous model.

Photo Quality:

That’s hugely important. And then new sensors across the ultra-wide, the 3X telephoto, and the 10X periscope cameras. This new primary sensor setup though, I know we keep saying cameras are mostly software, and as far as the look and style of the photos, it still is, but the improvement to the stabilization is so important here.

As a result, when comparing a standard sensor to a 200-megapixel sensor with extremely high resolution, the reality is that the individual pixels of these minuscule smartphone cameras are so small that they are unable to physically capture that much light. The camera uses a process known as binning to create larger, more precise pixels in your image by combining the data from several nearby pixels.

200 Megapixels

So you’re not shooting 200 megapixels by default, it’s binning 16 pixels into one, so you end up taking a 12.5-megapixel shot for normal photos, but each photo is theoretically more accurate thanks to its makeup. Furthermore, as previously mentioned, this new primary camera’s stabilization performance has doubled.

Galaxy S23 Ultra photos

So, all of this is to say Galaxy S23 Ultra photos, most of the time, in most lighting, look pretty similar to last year. So if that’s all you’re looking at, just normal side sides, this is mostly gonna come down to the different software tuning, and there’s a little bit more dynamic range compared to the previous year, but overall still excellent, and largely devoid of an HDR-like appearance.

These Samsung phones often produce warm photos with a bit punchier, more contrasty appearance than before—still very much in line with Samsung’s vibrant and vibrant aesthetic. Saturated, but it’s an aesthetic that I can get behind, I like it. But, on top of that, having this new sensor and optical stabilization means one, you can shoot 200-megapixel photos now if you want to.

Now, this does achieve the intended goal of capturing much more of the finer detail in objects like landscapes, so this should work if you intend to zoom in on the shot later or if you’re one of the three people on Earth who will print a photo from your smartphone. However, you should be aware that it can only produce results of this kind in excellent lighting, meaning that light hitting every single pixel is essential.

Solid Shutter:

Anything short of that, and you’re gonna get a lot of noise quickly. Additionally, there is a noticeable shutter lag when these enormous 40–50 megabyte images are shown; nonetheless, this mode is primarily intended for stationary objects, such as landscapes or a photo shoot but is worth noting. I think the better compromise is you actually also get a 50-megapixel mode, which kicks out still very detailed images that hang right with the iPhone’s 48-megapixel ProRAW shots in a variety of light, but now the files are five megabytes.

Shutter Lag

And there’s a lot of less shutter lag. However, there is less noise and still more clarity than in the typical binge photos. It’s all about being adaptable. Generally speaking, the usual mode will work best for most images, but you may always turn it up if you’d like. Zoom operates in the same way.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

You see all the cameras on the back. Any phone with two different telephoto cameras is gonna have the biggest range of good zoom performance. On this phone, anything past 10X is where it shines compared to others. You may have seen my latest video when I captured a picture of the full moon, which never fails to astound people.

Wow, but you also can’t forget about the video. This is improved video across the board with better processing, the new sensors, and much better stabilization, thanks to the better OIS. This may be the most stable mode for smartphone videos that I have ever seen, and because it is based on optical stabilization, it performs admirably in a range of lighting conditions as opposed to some electronic image stabilization, which depends heavily on light.

Selfie Camera:

Oh, and don’t overlook the more impressive self-portraits either. There’s a new 12-megapixel selfie camera in all these S23 phones. Even while it appears to be less than the 40-megapixel selfie camera that came before it, that number is still superior. It’s just better, rock-solid proof that the megapixels don’t matter.

This selfie camera, with the better software processing, is very sharp, and detailed, has nice color, doesn’t flare too much, and also has a decently wide angle. It’s not ultra-wide but not bad. This is a huge improvement to the camera overall, especially the primary camera, and should be acknowledged.

Real improvement

I would say yes, not an upgrade from last year’s phone, yes, but they’ve made a real improvement. And then, I don’t need to say too much about the rest because it’s the same as before, which, in the case of the best big phone of last year, is kind of a good thing.

I haven’t even talked about the A+ display, 1440P, 120Hz LTPO, and 1,750 nits peak brightness, it’s still awesome, still has great speakers, and still has very reliable software with a pretty good track record now of delivering software updates in a timely fashion for a while. Additionally, the base storage has increased from 128 to 256 gigabytes and is now quicker UFS 4.0 storage.

Elegant Design and Stylus

It still has the best stylus in a smartphone in the world, which might mean a lot more to you than it does to me, but, honestly, It’s convenient to know that I can sign a PDF or annotate a screenshot at any moment, should I need it. And the list goes on, great haptic motor, nice clicky buttons, it’s all still here.

This thing sets the standard pretty high. I was drawing the comparison that it feels like the 9/11 portion of cell phones. If you’re gonna charge 1200 bucks for a phone, it better set high marks across the board, it does, and it’s pretty underrated, and kind of boring, but it does. Now, if you want the S23 Ultra to look as improved as it is, I would recommend a skin from channel sponsored, brand, maybe something like this Damascus skin, This fills in a lot of the otherwise vacant space with character.

My favorite one is the Triple Black. It is included for free when you pick up any of the holographic colorways, so you can check ’em out at the link below. I claim that this phone is uninteresting, and perhaps “understated” is a better description. Will there be any other phones released this year that surpass this one in a certain category? Yeah, 100%, there’s probably gonna be a phone with 120X zoom.

Phone Charger Quality:

A phone with extremely quick charging will likely be released. This is only 45-watt charging. Do I wish this was better? A little bit, sometimes. Will a phone likely come with a fingerprint reader that is larger, faster, and more advanced? (soft, cheery music) Probably. But in terms of simply hitting every mark possible, this works.
