Do you have a long journey ahead of you? Then you can watch a nice series on Netflix on the go. However, you have to be careful not to go over your data limit. Or maybe there is no internet connection, for example on the plane. No problem, because you can watch Netflix offline. I explain to you how this works.
Watch Netflix offline
Watching Netflix without the internet is very easy. You can download movies and series on Netflix.
So you can access it from anywhere iPhone or Android phone view. Even without an internet connection. You can download up to 100 titles per device. Below I tell you how to do this.
How do you download movies on Netflix?
How to download movies and series to stream Netflix offline:
- Open the Netflix app.
- Find the episode or movie you want to download and tap it.
- Tap “Download” at the bottom of the title.
- The movie or series will now be downloaded to your phone or tablet. When the blue circle is full, you can watch offline.
Not sure what you want to watch yet? Then you can also view the list of downloadable films and series first. I tell you how to do this:
- Open the Netflix app.
- Tap “Downloads” at the bottom right.
- Tap “See what you can download.”
- You will now get an overview of all titles that you can download.
Good to know: you cannot download a season of your favorite series in one go. You do this per episode.
How do you set the offline image quality?
If you download movies and series on Netflix, it takes up storage space on your phone. When downloading, you can choose from standard or high-image quality.
The standard image quality takes up less space on your phone. And downloading is faster. How to set the image quality:
- Tap your profile picture and go to ‘App settings’.
- Tap “Image Quality.”
- Choose ‘Standard’ or ‘Higher’.
Listen to music on the go
When you are on the road you can of course also listen to nice music. But, the same story applies here. Apps like Spotify consume a lot of data and battery. Fortunately, you can also listen to Spotify offline.
